A great new look for Gwent Hockey Club

We are pleased to confirm that from the 2023/4 season, our kit supplier will be O’Neills. O’Neills was founded in 1918 and is Ireland’s leading sportswear manufacturer and has been selected due to the quality of the kit, the hockey-specific items, and the short delivery times. We would like to thank our outgoing supplier Total Teamwear for their excellent service over the past 3 years, particularly during some very challenging times in the midst of the pandemic.

A new kit also means some fresh new designs, while maintaining our orange and black identity. To kick things off, we have submitted a bulk order for playing kit and an online club shop will be opening in the coming weeks to include all playing kit items and a range of off-field gear like hoodies, jackets and joggers.

We have also taken this opportunity to modernise the GHC logo and you’ll now see this new design on the new kit and website. Thanks very much to Miles Thomas (Club Secretary / Youth Manager), for your handiwork.

We are also delighted to confirm that we have signed up 3 new sponsors!

Playing shirts – Flocon Valves & Fittings Ltd
Match balls – CGI
Coaching / training kit – Navcam Ltd / Navigation Security Services Ltd

‘We are very happy to have secured 3 great new sponsors. As a community sports club, every penny of funding is invaluable in helping us continue to provide an excellent service to our 350+ members’ – Dee Pattemore (Club Chairperson).

Many grassroots sports clubs struggle to make ends meet and some hockey clubs have sadly had to fold in recent years. Having the support of local businesses is essential in helping the club manage increasing costs while continuing to provide top-quality facilities, coaching, equipment, etc.

Thank you very much to our Kit Committee (Dani Spencer, Chris Williams, & Ann-Louise Law), our Leanne Handy (Treasurer), and everyone else who has helped with this kit and sponsorship project.
