We've got sessions running throughout the day for all age groups and abilities, whether you're one of our youngest players, a seasoned senior, returning to hockey after some time away, or completely new to the sport.

Club Day Schedule

10:00am – 11:30am
Under 6s • Under 8s • Under 10s

Our youngest players will get the day underway with a fun-filled session designed to get them back on the pitch and enjoying their hockey.

11:30am – 1:00pm
Under 12s • Under 14s • Under 16s

Our junior players will then take over the pitch as we build towards the new season.

1:00pm – 2:00pm
New Senior Players

Thinking about returning to hockey or trying it for the first time?

This session is designed especially for new senior players to meet the club, get on the pitch and discover what Gwent Hockey Club is all about.

Whether you've played before and are looking for a way back into the sport or have never picked up a hockey stick, you're very welcome to come along.

2:00pm – 4:00pm
All Senior Players

Our senior members will round off the hockey with a chance to get back on the pitch together ahead of the new season.

It's a great opportunity to shake off the summer, catch up with teammates and get ready for another season of hockey.

We'll also have a selection of Gwent Hockey Club kit available to buy on the day.

Please note that kit sales will be cash only. We won't be able to offer credit, so please bring the correct money with you.

Got Old or Outgrown Kit?

Club Day is also the perfect opportunity to give your old hockey kit a new home.

If you've got unused, unwanted or outgrown Gwent Hockey Club kit sitting at home, bring it along and we'll have a second-hand kit section available.

You can either:

Bring kit to sell on to another member, or
Pick up some second-hand kit at a lower price.

It's a great way to clear out the hockey cupboard, save money and help give perfectly good kit another lease of life.

Please make sure any kit you're bringing to sell is clean and in a condition that someone else can use.

Join Us Afterwards

The celebrations don't stop when the hockey finishes!

We'll be heading to The Crow's Nest, Cwmbran, after Club Day for a relaxed club social.

Everyone is welcome to come along, enjoy a drink, share stories from the day and get to know fellow members off the pitch.

Whether you've been at the club for years or are joining us for the first time, we'd love to see you there.
