The biggest day in the Gwent Hockey Club calendar has arrived!

Today, 5th September, we’re bringing the whole club together at Cwmbran Stadium for a day of hockey, fun and celebrating everything that makes Gwent Hockey Club special.

From our youngest players taking to the pitch through to our senior section, Club Day is a chance for players, families, friends and supporters to come together and enjoy the day as a club.

Whether you’re playing, supporting from the sidelines, looking to pick up some club kit or simply want to see what Gwent Hockey Club is all about - we’d love to see you there.

Today's schedule

There will be hockey taking place throughout the day, starting with our youngest players before moving through the junior age groups and into our senior section.

And that’s not all! We’ve got a few surprises in store throughout the day, so make sure you stick around and keep an eye out for what we’ve got planned. You won’t want to miss them!

10am – 11:30am: U6, U8, U10

Our youngest members get Club Day underway with their session on the pitch.

11:30am – 1pm: U12, U14, U16

Next up are our junior age groups, with players getting the chance to enjoy some hockey and spend time together as a club.

1pm – 2pm: NEW SENIOR PLAYERS

A session for our newest senior players to get involved, meet other members and get settled into the senior section.

2pm – 4pm: ALL SENIOR PLAYERS

We’ll round off the hockey with all senior players taking to the pitch.

Secondhand Kit Swap Shop

We’re also encouraging members to get involved with our secondhand kit swap shop.

Have hockey kit that no longer fits or that you’ve simply grown out of? Bring it along and give it a second life with another member of the club.

It’s a great way to pass on unwanted kit, pick up something you need and help keep perfectly good hockey kit in use.

If you have items you'd like to swap, bring them along to Club Day.

The celebrations continue at 7pm!

Club Day might finish at 4pm, but the celebrations don’t stop there. We’ll be heading to The Crow's Nest from 7pm for our post-Club Day social.

It’s the perfect opportunity to swap the hockey sticks for a drink, catch up with teammates and friends, and celebrate the club together after a busy day.

Club Day is about more than just hockey. It’s an opportunity for everyone across Gwent Hockey Club to come together — from our youngest juniors and their families to our senior players, coaches, volunteers, supporters and friends.

So grab your kit, bring some correct cash for the Club Shop, dig out any unwanted kit for the swap shop and come down to Cwmbran Stadium.

And if you’re still going at 7pm, we’ll see you at The Crow's Nest for post-Club Day socialising.
