Under 11 girls south Wales cup winner
What a fantastic afternoon in Swansea with the under 11 girls. 3 games played today and three games won. The first game was against Fishguard and like always take time to settle. The game was very even but, Maddie put the ball in the back of the net for the orange army. Abigail was a brave soldier during this match and despite taking a ball carried on until the final whilst. Final score 1-0 to Gwent.
Second up today was Swansea, this was a game which Gwent controlled from the start! The play was from end to end But, the orange army once again did us proud final score 4-0 to Gwent Goals from Gweni and Sophia.
The final Game of the day was against old rivals Whitchurch, a nail biting game to watch with all even at half time. The girls worked hard and battled hard for every ball. With just two minutes from the end of the game katherine struck the ball in to the D which connected with Maddie's stick to put Gwent 1-0 up - and this was the final score.
The defence of Eli, Eva and Abigail work hard through out the matches today clearing the ball out wide when possible. With Gweni and Rebecca picking up the ball and taking to the forwards.
Well played to the whole team today Tia, Eli, Eva, Abigail, Rebecca, Gweni, Maddie, Sophia and katherine.
Thank you to all the parents for their support today we will see you all again on the 2nd May at Wrexham for the clash of the North and South!
