So, with the boys only able to field one team, and Penarth unable to field a team at all, it would have been amiss not to fill the spot... so we brought in the girls!

For some it was their first taste of a match, and they put all put in a really strong performance.

The girls grew in confidence as the games went on. Their work rate soared, and we saw some great team work.

Some brilliant saves on goal, some fabulous passing from the defence to the midfield, and then to a formidable scoring force at the front.

Girls you were ferocious and fab to coach!
