It was fresh, and it was dry. Today was a huge day for our youngest club members, as the U7's and U9's headed to Whitchurch for their first ever taste of a hockey match!

Never before in South Wales Youth Hockey have we played U7 matches! It was a last minute dash to coordinate our teams, but our awesome families and coaches were excited for the opportunity.

We fielded 2 U7 teams, and one U9 team. It was a bit daunting to start with, and our more experienced Whitchurch players weren't going to roll over for us, but with each push of the ball, each pass, and each block our players became more confident, more knowledgeable about their role in the game, their position on the pitch, their teammates, their objectives. We even scored a few goals, and won some games!

Thank you to the parents for your support today. Welcome to hockey life! To the boys and girls, you were AWESOME! Hope you had fun, learnt a lot, and are looking forward to the next one... hopefully in the new year.
