Gwent Hockey Club is proud to have one of the largest and most successful junior hockey programmes in South East Wales, providing opportunities for children of all ages and abilities to enjoy field hockey in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

We welcome players from Reception age onwards, with coaching available for complete beginners as well as experienced young players looking to develop their game.

Our junior section includes:

• Mixed Under 8 and Under 10 hockey
• Boys' teams from Under 12 to Under 18
• Girls' teams from Under 12 to Under 18

Throughout the season, our junior teams compete in league fixtures, festivals and Welsh Cup and Plate competitions, consistently achieving success at regional and national level. Our players have enjoyed numerous appearances at the Welsh Finals and continue to achieve outstanding results year after year.

We are passionate about developing players both on and off the pitch. Many of our juniors progress into our senior teams, while others earn selection for regional performance programmes and Wales age-group squads. It has been a privilege to see so many current and former Gwent players represent Wales and compete in major national and international competitions.

Whether your child is picking up a hockey stick for the first time or already has competitive experience, Gwent Hockey Club provides an excellent pathway from junior hockey through to senior and international hockey.
